Hyaluronic Acid (HA): This humectant binds with water, drawing moisture to the skin keeping it plump and hydrated. To be used morning and night.
Retinol: A vitamin A derivative, retinols promote cell turnover, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. They can be quite irritating so start slowly. To be used at night only, and be sure to wash it off your face in the morning before any possible sun exposure.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is protective of your skin from environmental damage and with daily use can brighten your complexion. To be used first in the morning, after cleansing before your HA.
Sunscreen: Never to be forgotten even on a cloudy day! Use a generous amount of an SPF 30 or higher sunblock daily and don't forget your neck, chest, and back of your hands to protect against sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer. Be sure to reapply often if you are spending time outdoors.
Of course we need to mention having a healthy diet, managing stress, hydrating internally with your water intake, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep will affect your entire body and being…including your skin. Give your skin time to adjust to these powerful ingredients and don’t start them all at the same time. But starting these good skincare habits young can yield noticeable benefits as you age, and again… consistency is key!
