Botox Cosmetic
For a smoother, more youthful look
Botox Cosmetic injections are one of (if not the most) popular non-surgical treatments in the world. Botox works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, gradually resulting in a smoother, more youthful looking you over the course of the 2 weeks following your injections.
Cost: $600 per 50-unit vial
At what age should I start getting Botox Cosmetic?
Starting Botox treatments is a highly personal decision. The good news is that Botox is not only a corrective treatment, it is also a preventive treatment - and it can keep you looking younger, longer! Starting younger could be for the better, because there may come a time that your lines are too deep for Botox to be effective; however, if you aren't seeing any lines on your face at all, it may not be necessary to start now. It is best to have an in-person consultation with an experienced practitioner for the best advice, but generally if the lines are starting to stay there when you are not making an expression, it may be time to start Botox treatments.
What areas of the body can be treated with Botox?
Botox can be used on many parts of the body for certain medical conditions: muscle tightness, twitching, chronic migraines, bladder and pelvic floor disorders, excessive sweating, and of course for facial wrinkle reduction. At Progressive Wellness & Aesthetics we routinely perform Botox Cosmetic on the face (see our Guide to Commonly Treatment Areas), neck, and underarms for excessive sweating.
Do you carry any other brands of neuromodulators, or just Botox?
We prefer the best-known product, Botox, which is the only brand carried in our office.
Facial Fillers
For subtle, yet noticeable skin enhancement
Dermal fillers have greatly gained popularity in the last few years for their ability to fill lips, plump areas that have deflated with the natural aging process, define chins and jawlines, and smooth out lines and folds.
Our philosophy is that a natural enhancement can be achieved by an experienced injector using small amounts of filler in targeted areas a little at a time. This allows for gradual improvements that look fresh and youthful, while minimizing risks of overfilling and unevenness.
We only use hyaluronic acid fillers, which can be reversed with an enzyme if needed or desired. Regular touch-ups 1-3X/year allow us to maintain the results and adjust the treatment plan as needed for optimal results.
Cost: $550 per syringe and up, depending on the type of filler used and area injected.
What brands of fillers do you carry, and where can they be injected?
We provide both the Juvederm line of fillers from Allergan (including Juvederm Ultra Plus, Voluma, Volbella, Volux, and Skinvive) and Revanesse Versa. We use only hyaluronic acid fillers, as they are reversible with the hyaluronidase enzyme, which we always carry in our office. After an individualized consultation we will give you recommendations for a filler treatment plan, which may include injecting filler over multiple visits. Filler can be used in the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, under eye hollows, temples, nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, perioral lines around the mouth, and more.
Will you numb me before my filler injections?
Absolutely! Numbing cream prior to your filler injections and ice pre and post injections are available to you. They will not take away all of the discomfort but they make it quite manageable for almost everyone.
Microneedling with Exosomes
For collagen stimulation and facial skin rejuvenation
Microneedling can help improve depressed acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, poor texture, pore size, and hyperpigmentation. With multiple treatments the results will continue to improve as the collagen builds over time. Bevev Exosomes are used topically during the treatment and driven deep into the dermis by the needles to maximize the collagen building potential with this treatment.
Cost: $500 (Package of 3/$1350)
How many treatments are recommended and how often do I do them?
Typically a series of 3 to 5 treatments are recommended, followed by maintenance treatments 2 or 3 times per year. 3 weeks apart is the soonest you can do the treatment, and full results for each treatment take time, even up to a few months. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 3 to 6 months.
Will you numb me before my Microneedling treatment?
Absolutely! A topical numbing cream with Lidocaine and Tetracaine is applied for 15-20 minutes, then the skin is thoroughly cleansed prior to treatment. Numbing will not take away all of the discomfort but makes it quite manageable for almost everyone.
What Microneedling machine do you use?
We carry the Collagen PIN brand microneedling machine. Each disposable tip has 35 sterile needles and can reach depths of 3 mm into the skin. The Collagen PIN is FDA cleared for medical office use and is made in the USA.
